Speaker 1

Hey , hey , hey . Welcome to the MT Alternative Podcast . I'm your host , tyrone , filling in for that stuffy British dude , daniel . Mike and Tom have a great show for you today , so chill out , grab a beverage and enjoy .

Speaker 2

Hey , hey , hey , welcome back Tom . What's going on , buddy ?

Speaker 3

Hey , not much , Mike .

Speaker 2

How was your little weekend getaway last week .

Speaker 3

It was a getaway .

Speaker 2

That's all you're going to say about that .

Speaker 3

Yeah , well we did have some exciting experiences . We had bears in the parking lot there at the motel oh that's awesome .

Speaker 2

That's Tennessee for you .

Speaker 3

Yeah , we had bears in the trees up there in the cage cove so we got our money's worth .

Speaker 2

How'd the dogs deal with the bears ?

Speaker 3

bark a little bit . Yeah , yeah , of course when you have a chihuahua .

Speaker 2

They're the biggest animal and the bear would probably run off from that anywhere he's like what the hell is this thing's problem ? Be like that .

Speaker 3

You had a good time though yeah , be like the gazoo on flintstones little annoying , little , annoying thing come popping in every once in a while hello dumb dumb but yeah , we did have a good time , had a good time . Excellent gatlinburg is not what I remembered now .

Speaker 2

I hear that from a lot of people but , it's touristy .

Speaker 3

That's the way it is Give me Shenandoah any day of the week .

Speaker 2

A little quieter .

Speaker 3

It's Gatlinburg without the people .

Speaker 2

Excellent .

Speaker 3

That's cool .

Speaker 2

What did I do ? Same thing I did this weekend Not much , we did work .

Speaker 3

Seems like that's all we do .

Speaker 2

We worked last Saturday , worked this Saturday .

Speaker 3

Yeah , I'm thinking we're going to work again next Saturday .

Speaker 2

I think so too .

Speaker 3

Oh boy , but anyway , it looks like that's the situation . Money's money , you know what .

Speaker 2

I'll be going up north soon to see Mom .

Speaker 3

Yeah , I'm not a perv .

Speaker 2

Making a couple stops at certain places . Yeah , extra money is going to come in handy .

Speaker 3

Yeah , I'm not a perv , but 20 bucks is 20 bucks .

Speaker 2

Yeah right .

Speaker 3

There you go . So , but yeah , I'm looking more forward to your trip than I was mine .

Speaker 2

Well , I'm pretty looking forward to my trip too . Yes , I get to see mom . That's the best part of the trip . Sure it is Then there's a little you know icing on the cake there so to speak , side trips . Yeah , side trips .

Speaker 3

Those are what we call them . I like the side trips .

Speaker 2

Do you yeah ?

Speaker 3

Yeah , I like the side trips , do you yeah ?

Speaker 2

I love the side trips .

Speaker 3

There you go .

Speaker 2

The only thing is the trip up there that I don't love .

Speaker 3

Right .

Speaker 2

Driving is actually . Once I'm there , I'm fine .

Speaker 3

I mean the people on the road crazy .

Speaker 2

But at least this year I'm not traveling during Fourth of July week .

Speaker 3

Well , that's true , that sucks , that's true . Well , I get to Gatlinburg and they're talking about well , I said , there's so many people , Ah , this typical August . And then I got to thinking . My wife and I were talking . We've never been to Gatlinburg in August , it's always been early or late in the fall . Yeah see , that's what I'd rather go , and we don't normally go dead middle of the summer like this , and there were people everywhere , kids are out of school , people on vacation .

Speaker 2

Last week without school there was a lot to that .

Speaker 3

There were so many people , it was miserable . Right , but I did have a good time .

Speaker 2

Sometimes you get to deal with that crap . That's the way it goes . But give me that over the beach any day .

Speaker 3

Yes , I do like the beach any day .

Speaker 2

Yes , I do like the beach , I like the ocean . It's just give me the mountains all day long At night . That's what .

Speaker 3

The beach at night , is it ?

Speaker 2

The beach to me is like I'll go there for a weekend or whatever .

Speaker 3

Yeah .

Speaker 2

Just enjoy it . If someone put me in the mountains for a year , I'd be quite happy .

Speaker 3

What's really cool is you could actually just hop in the car one day and drive to the beach , see the beach and then drive back .

Speaker 2

The thing is , it's going to take me longer to get to the beach , but the mountains are less than an hour away .

Speaker 3

I know .

Speaker 2

That's the best part of it .

Speaker 3

Yeah , and see , the cool thing is , you've got both worlds here .

Speaker 2

Right , right , no , that is a good thing . Yeah , you've got both worlds here , right , right , no , that is a good thing . Well , same from Massachusetts . Oh , yeah , you know , you've got New Hampshire , you've got the mountains up there .

Speaker 3

Vermont , the spirit of Massachusetts is the spirit of .

Speaker 2

America there's some beautiful sights in there in New England . I wouldn't live there again . You wouldn't For certain reasons . You know my favorite color is blue the waters are terrible . My favorite color is blue , but someone has stolen it and it bugs me oh yeah , I see a lot of red . I'm seeing red that people stole my blue oh yeah yeah . Well , we won't go down that rabbit hole , yeah we won't do that .

Speaker 3

Let's not . Let's not today .

Speaker 2

Massachusetts , great place to visit . Would not want to live there again .

Speaker 3

Okay .

Speaker 2

Yeah , yeah , well , say it like that .

Speaker 3

Yeah .

Speaker 2

Love you guys , all my friends out there . Great , but nope , that state is not for me .

Speaker 3

I think that's a lot with anybody . I mean . Kansas is the same way . Kansas is a wonderful state . It's great to live there . I shouldn't say that all about Massachusetts , Boston , like every .

Speaker 2

Democratic city is a shithole .

Speaker 3

I probably wouldn't live there again , but I enjoyed Kansas . It gave me a lot of my morals .

Speaker 2

This is as close as I'm going to get .

Speaker 3

This is me , right here .

Speaker 2

I could be back home right now and it kind of looks like this Seriously , it covers my hillbilly . Yeah , I guess I'm more at home with the southern people Speaking of hillbilly . I guess I am . The other morning I never said the word hillbilly .

Speaker 3

No , I did .

Speaker 2

Okay .

Speaker 3

But you know bringing that up the no , I did . Okay , but you know bringing that up the other morning . I'm getting ready to take the dogs out . I hear a high-pitched squeal out there . I go out .

Speaker 2

Coyote's got a rabbit in the backyard Did you know , a rabbit screaming can make the same sound as a baby .

Speaker 3

Deer , yeah , they do they have the same sound ?

Speaker 2

They do have the same sound Like a baby's cry almost . It's crazy , it sucks hearing that .

Speaker 3

But that's kind of what I like .

Speaker 2

I'm looking at my little chihuahua one day Went under the porch and I hear something squealing . Grabbed a little baby rabbit . Oh no yeah . We saved it , it's gone .

Speaker 3

There you go . It lived Cool Animals .

Speaker 2

Yeah .

Speaker 3

What a great thing , love animals .

Speaker 2

All right . So I think now's a good time to dive into my little rock story there about the Warning . Yep , I'd like to talk about Anybody who's not familiar with the Warning . They're from Monterrey Mexico . The band consists of three sisters . You've got Daniela , Danny . She's vocals lead guitar Right . She plays all kinds of things with piano . You have Paulina , nicknamed Pow , she plays the drums . It's fitting . She's like the middle child , she's like an animal on the drums .

Speaker 2

A wild child Basically . And there's Alejandra . Her nickname is Ale . She's the bassist Awesome , fricking bassist . I started found out early I wanna say 2015 , 2016, . I first saw these little kids on YouTube Right At the Sandman . I'm like you know , cute . That's pretty cute . They're doing that keeping Rocketball alive . I was excited to see it Right Couple years later .

Rising Rock Band Success and Influence

Speaker 2

Something else caught my attention . They were at this thing called TEDx and I guess it's some forum they have . They have different guest hosts doing different things , whether it be business music , whatever , right , and they did three songs and they get up and do a little speech in between their songs . I said , damn , these are those girls . They're getting bigger and they're still doing this . This is awesome , wow . So I followed them a little more . So they did some covers of . There was a big cover thing back then .

Speaker 2

They did have their own stuff out , right and uh , but they were doing a lot of covers twisted saint's and martin crew , which was cool . They came out with . Their first , I think , was a dp , which is a small album , not a lot of songs , right , and that was escape the mind , which had some good songs on it . Then it was a 21st century blood , which I said you know if you listen to the music and that everything's a lot of social things going on in life . Right , he's a kid writing this stuff . Wow , all the music .

Speaker 3

So their parents are keeping them parents . Yeah , the parents .

Speaker 2

the parents aren't new . Yeah , they'll parents . They don't play music . They don't play any instruments , right , but they really were into music and a lot of the stuff we listen to . Yeah , so they grew up listening to this . How they got into it was rock band . Ah Danny started playing and Paulina started playing on rock band and it went from there . This is cool .

Speaker 2

The wee game the little one , al , will just sit there and clap her hands . This is from them saying that , and you know , go along with it . Well , danny ended up getting a guitarist long story short , I'll get drums and the parents said you have this long , you have to stick to it , at least this long . And even danny said after like a week or two she wanted to quit , but she stuck to it . Al picked up the bass after she whatever 10 years old , 9 years old , and all of them would play separate . Then they figured out wait a minute , we could start a band . And that's how it really happened .

Speaker 2

So , they would do .

Speaker 3

Christmas shows be at the school little school functions .

Speaker 2

That's how they started out .

Speaker 3

Heck yeah .

Speaker 2

But I'm trying to keep it short . You gotta go into every little detail . But uh , they came out with queen of the murder scene and that was 2018 . That was a concept album written mostly by the drummer the middle child , yeah a concept album . If you have no , what a concept album ? Everything kind of goes . It's like a story . Right , it's not this song does this it's a story . So to write something like that ?

Speaker 3

it was creepy , you know for a kid , and she probably was how old then .

Speaker 2

You know , let's see . I want to say maybe 14 .

Speaker 3

Yeah , for a 14-year-old to write a story 13 , 14 at least .

Speaker 2

Like I said , I don't know all the details . I'm really starting to get into this band more and more that , like I said , I don't know all the details . I'm really starting to get into this band more and more , that's great .

Speaker 2

In 2022 , they came out with their album Error . That had some good tunes on it . That's when it started really hitting . They opened up Amuse , guns N' Roses , foo Fighters and , as of this year , they came out with another album , keep Me Fed . That came out on June 28th of this year . Pretty much went from what they were 10 years ago almost headlining . These shows now Pack arenas . Just a bunch of talented young ladies down to earth . It's just their music . That's their passion . They're not wearing their skimpy little outfits . They're not singing about puppy love .

Speaker 3

Right .

Speaker 2

Come out half naked , it's actual issues that are actually happening . Very intelligently , but anyway .

Speaker 3

Speaking . You just mentioned . You hit something a minute ago . You said packing venues and stuff . I seen you going through some numbers earlier .

Speaker 2

Oh well , they just played a Bakken Festival which is in Germany , held every year . It's a festival with a lot of different bands . They did not open , but they were part of the . I think they were on a main stage Right that place gets 85,000 people Right that concert alone . A couple nights later they played Poland Rock .

Speaker 3

Okay .

Speaker 2

They headlined Poland Rock Right headline-polling rock Right 750,000 people , wow , yeah , wow is right . Their biggest way , bigger than the biggest show ever . That's crazy , and the sad thing is in America they're not really known . I mean , a lot of people know Right Because they have their warning army . That's what a lot of fans will call themselves now .

Speaker 3

But the music expands hard rock , not to be confused with the Idiot Squad .

Speaker 2

Yeah , not to be confused with the Idiot Squad , but just to give an idea of their music , their genre . It usually spans like hard rock , alternative rock , progressive rock Right , but they do have their own sound . But you can tell where they're . You know where it comes from their influences .

Speaker 3

Yeah , and the few videos I've seen , I've enjoyed .

Speaker 2

Right , well , I showed you the Enter Sandman when they were little .

Speaker 3

That was their big break for everybody watching them .

Speaker 2

You know their family would just . Parents have always been influential with these kids because they listen to a lot of music Zeppelin . Guns N' Roses that's the kind of music the kids grew up listening to . Granted , now all the kids listen to . Everybody has their own musical taste of what they listen to .

Speaker 3

If you heard what they said they listened to , you'd be like you can tell my son was raised around Dr Hook and the Muttage Show . He's not very bright .

Speaker 2

Maybe that was the problem , yeah , but uh I mean right now . They've been torn extensively . And I do want to make a correction on Pone Rock . I said 700-something thousand and it was over 350,000 plus .

Speaker 1

Which is still yeah , which is still a lot .

Speaker 2

I guess it could hold up through that many people , 700 plus .

Speaker 1

Right right .

Speaker 2

Which is incredible in itself , and that's a free concert . You were talking about concert tickets . That's a . That's freaking , unbelievable free . Yeah , hey , want to go to a show . There's like 20 bands playing .

Speaker 3

It's free yeah , let's go here , take this right I'll drive , but uh , yeah , they've been touring extensively .

Speaker 2

I don't think they've stopped and uh , again , it's a tribute to the way they were brought up . I mean three sisters that are all gifted .

Speaker 3

Yeah .

Speaker 2

It just blows my mind . I mean there's a lot of family bands out there and stuff . Don't get me wrong , I'm not dissing anybody else , yeah , it's just . Rock's been going away for a while and this has kind of brought rock back the Osmonds is pissed at you Again .

Speaker 3

I don't want to beat a dead horse .

Speaker 2

Taylor Swift , but that music I'm sorry Swifties . The .

Speaker 3

Osmonds are pissed at you right now .

Speaker 2

I'm sorry , Donnie , whatever your other names are , yeah .

Speaker 3

Donnie Marie Maurice , all right , no , that's a give , yeah , that is a give .

Speaker 2

But , anyways , people , people , listen to the check out the warning you will not be disappointed .

Speaker 3

Yeah , you'll be shocked .

Speaker 2

They have a song pretty much everybody will like . But that was my little rabbit hole , and there's more to say . But I could save that for another segment because I got a bunch of bands I'd like to talk about . They all kind of go together .

Speaker 3

Very informative . Another segment , because I got a bunch of fans I'd like to talk about they all kind of go together very informative , I try .

Speaker 2

I mean , there's people that know more , but , like I said , I'm jumped into this not too long ago . I've seen them for years ago , but never really followed them followed them and , uh , and , like I said , followed them for different things . But once I saw the mtv awards with evolve right , I said holy shit , these girls grew up Wow .

Speaker 2

They really rock , but again anyways . So yeah , I wonder if , uh , our little friends were listening to the segment at all . I'm sure they were . I don't know , maybe he hears everything that angry the angry one probably didn't listen to shit .

Speaker 3

No , he listens .

Speaker 2

You sure , he ?

Speaker 3

listens , he hears everything . You can't .

Speaker 2

That's true .

Speaker 3

You can't open a damn bag of cookies without him showing up .

Speaker 2

This is true . Should we try ? Yeah , well , anyways , let's take our little break and let's let them in and do their thing .

Speaker 3

Yeah .

Speaker 2

All right , we'll be back .

Concert Complaints and Musings

Speaker 4

Hey , buddy , what's going on ? Oh , not too much . What's up with you ? Oh , I found that interesting , that story on that band . Yeah , that's pretty wild . Yeah , yeah , bands are wild . Yes , they got some talent for these young ladies . Yeah , I knew some ladies with talent once . Yeah , I'm sure you did . We're not talking about that kind of talent , buddy . Oh , oh , the real talent , the real talent . I'd like to go to a concert . A concert , yeah , why would you do that ? Yeah , watch some bands . No , no , no , why , when you go to a concert , right , unfortunately , you pay . It's not unfortunate , I'm fortunate . Well , you , I'm going to see a band . Okay , stop it . Did I suck ? Just stop a minute and let me explain .

Speaker 4

Oh , sure , you know , what pisses me off about going to concerts ? What ? First off , the ticket prices . Huh , yeah , they do get kind of pricey , kind of pricey . Okay , first off , if Taylor Swift , who , in my opinion , sucks ass , she gonna charge $500 for a ticket , is it her or the ticket people ? Who the hell cares ? I'm not paying that much to listen to her . Well , there's some dumbasses who do . I'm not paying $500 to listen to Merle Haggard , and he's the best ever was .

Speaker 4

What kind of person listens to a girl at 37 singing about breakups ? Exactly , that's a sad life . Listen , ladies . If you're 37 and still breaking up , take some counseling . You have issues ? Yeah , if you're lost , the kitchen is to the left , ah , yeah , anyway .

Speaker 4

But I went to this one concert one time . Well , uh , I didn't ever really get there , but oh , ha ha ha , there was some issues that stood in the way . Ah , damn issues . Yeah , well , sometimes those issues are tagged with names like alcohol and drugs . And , okay , growing up and learning as you move , you're stupid , oh , but as you grow older , you don't remember too much . Anyway , let's get back .

Speaker 4

I went to this one concert one time and the ticket price was okay , but the music sucked . Well , why did you go ? Well , because I thought it was going to be good . Oh , and it wasn't good . Well , no , they said Sunday , sunday , sunday , ah , we went to go , we'll sell you the whole seat , but you only need the edge . Well , shit , I didn't even need the edge , you don't sit down . Walking back to your car , I left that place . Anyway , who wants to bring a lawn chair ? Bring your own chair . What'd I just pay for A field ? Yeah , a piece of grass . No , bullshit , I can have a piece of grass . Well , you know , speaking of grass , I should have said the lawn . Well , speaking of grass , Right ? Well , that stuff's everywhere at these concerts Kind of pisses me off .

Speaker 4

Why ? Well , because nobody I know brought none . You just get next to somebody who has some and they'll share . Yeah , then I look like a mooch . That's all right , it was . Yeah , see , you see .

Speaker 4

But there's a danger in that . There is . You might sit next to somebody that only buys that brown Mexican shit . That shit gives me a headache , not me . Oh , Don't give me no headache . What does it give you ? An empty billfold , an empty bill .

Speaker 4

You're stupid and bought it . Yep , ah , what an idiot . Yeah , tell me about it now . Well , he said it came from Guadalajara . That sounded exciting to me . That meant someone's basement . No , it meant you're going to be lazy after you do this shit . Yeah , yeah , anyway , but it just .

Speaker 4

How do they get that stuff in there ? Very easy , they don't check it for that , do they not ? No , that's good information . Oh , maybe I shouldn't have told you that . Thank you , no , no problem . Hey , wait a minute .

Speaker 4

Let's go back to the concert . You know what pisses me off ? What concert are we going back to ? I'm sitting here watching my favorite band getting into the music and I got 20 dicks in front of me holding up their phones . You're there . What are you taping ? You're already there . Yeah , just right in front of you . Yeah , what a bunch of morons . I paid to come here and film . You're an idiot . Yeah , why don't you just look it up on your phone , dumbass , instead of going and dealing with all them idiots ? Let someone else film it and sit home and watch it . If that's what you're doing , okay , but what's this ? What ? Every concert I don't give a stupid two shits which one it is Every time they start breaking into a ballad oh , I love you , honey Causes everybody to want to light a damn cigarette at the same time .

Speaker 4

What's that all about ? Because you're mellow now , in a mellow mood . Mellow , it's like a sexual experience With your lighter . No , no , no , I have never had a sexual experience with a lighter that ever was ended in good . Evidently you haven't lived right . Well , no , I did one time and ended up with blisters all over everywhere Because you did it wrong . You don't actually put the lighter there . Well , that would have been good to know then . Basically , you just heard a good song . You rocked your ass off . Now they're doing a mellow song . You kick them back and enjoy it . So you light yourself on fire . No , you light your cigarette . You dumbass . I don't smoke . Well then , don't worry about it . Yeah , because even if you don't smoke , you can get killed by cigarettes .

Speaker 4

You are smoking . If you're not , you really are . No . Secondhand , well , secondhand , who wants to buy a secondhand cigarette with some Joe Schmoe spit all over it ? What the hell is that all about ? I'm talking about the smoke , not the cigarette itself . Oh , we call those gutter butts . Oh , hey , you gonna finish that . I heard that a lot when I hitchhiked one time at a Baptist mission . You gonna finish that . It's even worse when you go in a convenience store and you leave it on the wall and you come out and someone else is smoking it . Yeah , robert , wait a minute , you'll probably have to delete this part Because , yeah , that's what he does If they stupid .

Speaker 4

Okay , one day we pull up to a gas station Old girl working behind the counters outside having a cigarette and he pulls up . She hurries up , goes back in there to wait on us because we're the only ones there . She leaves her cigarette there on the counter While I'm in there buying shit . I come out there and find out he done smoked her damn cigarette . Yeah , yeah , he did . That's kind of fucked up A little bit . Why would you leave a cigarette on a building that's fucked up so he can smoke it ? Well , no , you can burn your damn building down . Well , it mostly made of brick or concrete , yeah , which reminds me , sure , what you know what's red and bad for your teeth ? What A brick , ah , yeah , yeah , anyway , that could hurt .

Speaker 4

So , but I want to go to a concert , but I don't want to pay all this money . How much is it A lot Like ? How much ? What's a lot ? $25 . That's shit . I know it's stupid . No , that's reasonable For what ? No , it's stupid . No , that's reasonable For what ? To go to the concert , okay , let's . Would you rather go see Taylor Swift for like a grand ? No , I wouldn't . Well , there you go . $25 sounds reasonable , now , doesn't it ? You know what sounds more reasonable ? What ? Sitting in my damn recliner and punching up Taylor Swift , my God , I want to watch that stupid stuff . Anyway , they actually have a good documentary out of her , very informative , I can hear it now .

Speaker 4

This is Taylor Swift . She was stupid when she was born . She grew dumber as she got older and now she's a damn vegetable . Okay , you know what sucks , though . Yeah , you can blame Toby Keith . Why ? Rest in peace , toby Keith . Yeah , I was going to say . He's not even with us anymore . He's the one that gave her a record deal on his label . He started it . Well , he knew he had nothing to lose . Then he burned his damn house down . Get rid of the evidence . I don't want no one tying me to this . I can see it . I see it . I seen it . Yeah , I seen that coming . Uh-oh , better burn every damn thing I did down . That was dumb . I still can't believe . You think $25 is a lot ? Well , it depends . Look at all the people charging outrageous money . Now , $25 is a drop in the bucket , yeah , but I don't have a bucket and I'm not dropping one when I get it . Okay , okay , I went and seen Leonard Skidder . Right , you know what that cost me .

Speaker 4

What A car ride and a hamburger . How long ago was this ? About four or five years ago ? That's bullshit . Oh , my buddy bought me a hamburger and I paid the gas and he bought all the tickets . Oh , then see , then you gotta go find this buddy again . I know where he's at Now . There you go , you know who he is . No , fuzzy , who , fuzzy ? Remember Fuzzy ? Yeah , hello , fuzzy , you bastard . Remember Fuzzy ? That's who I went with . Here's another shout-out to Fuzzy . That's who I went with . Here's another shout-out to Fuzzy . Ah , fuzzy , although we did have a damn good time . Is that your Texas boy ? No , no , no , no , no , that's not him . No , who's Fuzzy ? Fuzzy's the guy I remember . Fuzzy , yeah , I shouted out to Fuzzy before , right , yeah , he used to work with me . He , yeah , he used to work with me . He thinks I'm rude . Yeah , man , that's the fuzzy . Yeah , but he lives in .

Speaker 1

Margaretton Fuzzy fuzzy .

Speaker 4

He lives over by another guy . We know Kelly Not fuzzy . Yeah , it's not fuzzy , it's Kelly . Kelly isn't fuzzy . He's got a good clean-cut hair . Now , fuzzy , he's fuzzy , that's why we call him fuzzy . You're tiring me out . I'm tired myself . I'm gonna get going . You know why I'm tired ? Why , because I've been here . Oh , every time I come here I get tired . Well , you got your parking spot , so don't complain . Yeah , thanks , bill . Ah , and don't forget , troy will be making an appearance . Who the hell is Troy ? Yeah , you'll find out . Yeah , I remember Troy . Yeah , you know , you don't . Yeah , well , you said Troy's the one that took your clothes from the laundromat . No , yeah , you blamed Bill . That wasn't Bill . Oh , it wasn't . No , bill's a very respectable gentleman . Bill is Troy . On the other hand , yeah , yeah , Gonna , land his damn helicopter in my spot . He can get into some shit . Yeah , you'll meet him . I don't think you're gonna like him , but you'll meet him . Who knows , I might become best friends . Anyways , folks , see you next week . Yeah , go see a concert . Bye , bye .

Barber, Rome, and Taylor Swift

Speaker 2

Well , that seemed like a little different there with the little dudes today . Yeah , that was tolerable . A little enjoyable actually . I do hear his concert issues , though I get it .

Speaker 3

Yeah , concerts are getting out of hand A little bit , a little bit .

Speaker 2

People are always so negative and pessimistic .

Speaker 3

I hate negative and pessimists . You get a lot of those everywhere in life , unfortunately . Yeah , negative , pessimistic .

Speaker 2

I hate , negative and pessimists yeah .

Speaker 3

Yeah , you get a lot of those everywhere in life . Yeah , unfortunately , but you know I love it when karma comes around to them kind of people .

Speaker 2

Kamala .

Speaker 3

No .

Speaker 2

Oh .

Speaker 3

Well , yeah , karma Kamala same thing . But anyway , I've got a buddy one time and he was telling me about his barber being the most negative dude . He was just telling the story .

Speaker 2

Like a woman barber or a barber . A barber that cut his hair .

Speaker 3

Oh , okay , you know like the barber of Seville .

Speaker 2

Oh yeah , me , me , me no , okay Go ahead , brutus the barber beefcake .

Speaker 3

Oh , yes , me , me , no , okay , go ahead .

Speaker 2

Brutus the Barber Beefcake .

Speaker 3

Ah yes , All them people . Well , he was talking about his barber being so negative . One day he said this story . He said I went in there and told him I was getting ready to go to Rome . And the barber said Rome , why do you want to go to Rome and how are you going to get there ? He says well , I'm going to fly on TWA . Well , twa , that's a dumb thing to do . They're the worst airline I ever seen . They'll lose your bags . They'll starve you to death while you're there . It's awful .

Speaker 3

And Rome , what are you going to do in Rome ? That's a stinky city . He said I'm going to do in Rome ? That's a stinky city . He said I'm going to see the Pope . The Pope , what do you want to see the Pope ? For ? He's an idiot . You're going to stand out there with 100,000 people in the hot sun and wait to hope to see him stand on a little ledge on a building . Yeah , yeah , that's what I'm going to do . That's stupid . He said Well , a couple months later he goes by and he goes back in for a haircut .

Speaker 3

The old barber asked him . He said where did you take that old trip ? Yes , sir , and you lied to me . What do you mean ? I lied to you . He said TWA was a very pleasant experience . He said they got me there on time , brought snacks the whole trip , never lost my bag or nothing . I said well , you're lucky . He said Rome , you lied to me about Rome too . He said it wasn't stinky at all . I got there , it was beautiful , People always helping out and wanted to do this . He's like yeah , well , he said you weren't right about one thing . He said there were over a hundred thousand people waiting to see the pope and he said when did you get seen ? He said yeah , yeah , as a matter of fact , he come out there on that little ledge on the side of the building , just like you said he would . He said is that the one thing you didn't lie about ? He ?

Speaker 3

said well it was an awful , awful experience around all them people , wasn't it ? He said no , no , not really . He said because a little bit into the speech and everything , these two fellas come down there and tap me on the shoulder and said follow us , the Pope wants to see you . Oh , he did not . Yeah , yeah , Called me up there . So he said I went up there and I got to see the Pope . He said I'll bet that was an awful experience . No , no , it was lovely . He had fruit , we had fruit and everything and we just it was awesome .

Speaker 3

He said I got to see his ring , he let me kiss his ring and he blessed me and everything . He said well , out of 100,000 people , why would the Pope come down there and get you ? He said well , I asked him that and I said Mr Pope , I'm very honored and I'm so glad that you offered to come up here . I've kissed your ring and I've been preceded with all this beauty in here . And he said but I'm wondering , why me , out of all them people down there ? Why did you want to come with me ? He said well , son , I wanted to counsel with you , speak to you , he said because out of 100,000 people , you undoubtedly have the worst haircut of any one person I ever did see how did the pessimistic barber take it ?

Speaker 3

I don't know , that was the end of the story never finished but I thought that was pretty funny .

Speaker 2

You have the worst haircut .

Speaker 3

Of any of the 100,000 .

Speaker 2

You picked that out of all these people .

Speaker 3

I must have been a bad barber .

Speaker 2

Must have been terrible .

Speaker 3

Yeah , sounded like a little dude in the barber .

Speaker 2

You should send a little dude there . I'd like to hear what he has to say when he comes back . That could be a pretty good show .

Speaker 3

Yeah , it could be Two pessimists in the same room . That wouldn't be very good .

Speaker 2

Yeah , boy .

Speaker 3

But yeah , that was pretty fun .

Speaker 2

Yeah , those damn little dudes man .

Speaker 3

I just don't think it'd work in another barber .

Speaker 2

You don't think so . I don't think so yeah , I don't think so either . They they could work in another barber . You don't think so ? I don't think so ? Yeah , I don't think so either . They'd probably pull a knife . He got pissed off because Bill parked in his stupid parking spot . He won't let it go .

Speaker 3

Yeah that he was pissed at Eric and he didn't even know who Eric was . Eric never even showed up .

Speaker 2

Oh gosh , but anyways .

Speaker 3

I think he's a little jealous .

Speaker 2

They enjoyed the warning . Anyways , I did . I'm telling you they're a great band , but what do we got for the future coming up ?

Speaker 3

For the future we have .

Speaker 2

Anything spectacular .

Speaker 3

Um .

Speaker 2

Yeah , that's what I'm thinking too .

Speaker 3

I don't know if anything big .

Speaker 2

Well , I do have another band that I would like to talk about next week , and that's Nightwish . Nightwish , that was one of my rabbit holes a couple years ago , but we'll get into that then .

Speaker 3

Yeah .

Speaker 2

They're a Finnish band .

Speaker 3

I know it's not your genre .

Speaker 2

They're not .

Speaker 3

Finnish Right .

Speaker 2

They're from Finland .

Speaker 3

Oh .

Speaker 2

Yeah , finish .

Speaker 3

Oh , they're finished .

Speaker 2

Okay , what's not my genre .

Speaker 3

And I know bluegrass is not your genre .

Speaker 2

I don't mind bluegrass . I probably don't know who they are , but I don't mind bluegrass music .

Speaker 3

There's a band that I would like to bring up in a couple of weeks or something .

Speaker 2

We talk about all kinds of music .

Speaker 3

Oh yeah . We of music , oh yeah we do , except for Taylor Swift .

Speaker 2

Yeah , well , that is a genre .

Speaker 3

That's a genre in itself . It's called shit music .

Speaker 2

But again all kidding aside , she's making money . Gotta give her credit .

Speaker 3

No .

Speaker 2

There's a lot of idiots .

Speaker 3

No , no , exactly . Let's give a lot of idiots credit for having more money than sense yeah , okay , we can do that , that . Yeah , because she didn't do anything but get up there and crap can't both be true , yeah no , ever open your garbage can after a night of chinese food and it stinks . It's got that freaky smell and , yeah , that's what it sounds like listening to a Taylor Swift album .

Speaker 2

Not bad huh .

Speaker 3

Oh God , Anyway Shake it off . Yeah , let's just move on .

Speaker 2

Yeah , let's move on .

Speaker 3

Yeah , I don't want to give her any more time .

Speaker 2

I was looking up some stupid stuff today .

Speaker 3

Taylor Swift . I thought we were quitting on this .

Speaker 2

Yeah , I'm moving in a different direction from her .

Speaker 3

Oh .

Speaker 2

Oh , oh , this isn't probably has done .

Speaker 3

Other stupid stuff . Okay , go ahead .

Speaker 2

I'm just looking at humorous news stories in the US this week .

Speaker 3

Is there any humor in the news ?

Speaker 2

They're pretty funny . I mean this is funny . I find it amusing . Some guy got pulled over for speeding in Florida .

Speaker 3

Yeah , why would you want to be going ?

Speaker 2

past there . As the cop goes up , he hands him a get out of jail free card from Monopoly .

Speaker 3

The cop did .

Speaker 2

He gave the cop that . It says while the officer had a good laugh . It didn't stop from issuing a ticket .

Speaker 3

Well , of course not .

Speaker 2

Now you lost your card too . Yeah see , and then there was a squirrel that stole a package delivery . A doorbell camera in a neighborhood captured a squirrel snatching a package from someone's porch .

Speaker 3

Yeah , it was probably from nutties .

Speaker 2

Well , the ordered nuts , what does he expect ? The homeowner was left scratching their head when they found their missing package high up in a tree , thanks to the furry thief . I didn't say fuzzy .

Speaker 3

No , but I thought you said something about a homo earlier .

Speaker 2

No , no , no , homeowner . Oh , one of those . I was going to say that could be a homo , I don't know .

Speaker 3

Yeah , nowadays it could be .

Speaker 2

Tom , this sounds like something for you City home . I don't know . Yeah , nowadays it could be , Tom , this sounds like something for you City . No Pants Day causes confusion . I was confused about that . A small town in Texas celebrated its annual no Pants Day , where locals walk around in their underwear to promote freedom and self-expression . However , several out-of-towners were quite confused and even called the police , thinking there was some sort of an emergency . People are walking around in their underwear . Is this an emergency ?

Speaker 3

Yes , Somebody shot off a missile that only takes your pants off First of all .

Speaker 2

I see people walking around in their underwear . I'm not going . This is an emergency . I'd be like what the F is wrong with these ?

Speaker 3

people . Maybe all of our pants are on fire . We gotta get rid of them , oh they have drones that deliver pizza now .

Speaker 2

Yeah , this one went to the wrong address . What the hell . And it got held hostage A drone did In California . A drone delivering pizza mistakenly dropped the order at the wrong house . The residents decided to have some fun by holding the drone hostage until the pizza company offered them a free meal .

Speaker 3

Yeah , bring us a pizza . Well , we just did . I kind of like that , yeah that's all I could find for stupid , I mean everything else , wasn't it ?

Speaker 2

I think everything else was stupid , but it's like no , that doesn't sound so stupid .

Speaker 3

Here's what I think is stupid . What's's stupid Drones delivering your medications .

Speaker 2

Yeah .

Speaker 3

That is dumb . Wait a minute , wrong address . Unless we live next door to a guy who just got hit by a truck and they're going to drop a bunch of Percocet , that'd be all right . I'll leave a flag out for you where to park .

Speaker 2

Maybe they'll drop a couple of blue pills off at your house . No , I don't need those .

Speaker 3

You sure . I'm positive .

Speaker 2

Hey , four hours , five hours of fun though .

Speaker 3

No , no , no . Yeah , that's not fun .

Speaker 2

There's about 30 seconds of fun , and then the rest of the time you're laying awake wondering what am I going to do with ?

Speaker 3

this ? What am I going to do with this ? Come on man , let's be real has it been four hours yet ?

Speaker 2

why do you keep asking ? I gotta call the doctor I've seen alice .
